I started this book once several years ago but had to put it down because it was sinking me into a depression. I hesitate to share that because it's a book I intend to return to and a book that I believe every American should read. It is a good reminder that history (or commonly known history?) is written by the victors, but more importantly it is an important record for those who want to understand more fully the origins of this country we call 'the home of the free'.
