This is a long (550-ish pages), detailed story about the life of woman who loves to fly. It starts in her childhood, and unravels some mysteries along the way. It reminds me of a Clark Gable-type movie - drama, heartbreak, romance, mystery . . .The characters are larger than life, and the story is all on one level - Malone tells us what we need to know. I am losing patience with long books - they had better have a good reason for going over 350 pages. If you like a 'get lost in the pages" novel, then I suppose you will enjoy this, but I would rather be reading something a little more layered and a little less wordy.
