With scanimation, animals move as the reader turns the page. The animals’movements are described in large, colorful print; and the vivid verbs invite readers to pretend they’re animals that can spring, soar, and more. Gallop! is a unique book that invites readers to fan pages back and forth to see animals move. I would recommend this book for one-on-one or independent reading. The pages are fun to interact with, and children can learn a lot about the behaviors of different animals as they read. I like how interactive this book is for readers.
