liked it
bookshelves: science, non-fiction

A very long treatise on why believing in God is a folly. Sometimes
very good, and sometimes repetitious and rude.
I did not particularly enjoy it. First of all, it wasn't a book for
me. I am already where he wants others to get. In addition, I really
didn't enjoy his combative and ridiculing style. It's hard to
convince anybody by insulting him. I also expected more scientific
theories explaining why humans would succumb to group beliefs, which
even though mentioned, were given just one chapter out of ten. He
comes back to it at the end of the book with some more possible
explanations and world views, and because of that, the book finishes
on an interesting note, but overall, it could have been better.
