The novel Bloodline, by Kate Cary is a wonderful read about war and love, tragic death, blood and gore, and senseless murder, ....did I mention it is about Dracula? Yes, I know, the vampire thing is getting old, but this is a true vampire novel.

Taking place in the legendary Romania, this book digs up a dusty tale of a macabre monster and polishes it into a one of a kind story. The bloodline of Dracula is still at large, people!!!!

When John Shaw enrolls in World War I, he has no idea that his commanding officer (often referred to as CO in the book) is Dracula's grandson. John witnesses some unspeakable acts of violence, ordered by his commander, and some curious rumors are whispered through the trenches. When he returns home to England as a wounded soldier, John has no idea he will meet his betrothed, his sister will fall madly in love with his CO, and they will travel to Romania with Van Helsing's bag of weapons to rescue his sister from becoming a vampire herself....now the only thing left to do is to not become
one of the damned along the way......
