** spoiler alert ** This is a mostly solid collection of geeky short stories, with a little bit of something for everyone. It’s also a primer for everyone who’s big in YA fiction right now – Garth Nix, Scott Westerfeld, John Green, MT Anderson, David Levithan, etc. Favorites included Holly Black’s story of a Klingon who hooks up with a Jedi at a con, David Levithan’s quiz bowl geeks with crushes, Cassandra Clare’s story about the real-life meeting of a MMORPG community, and Sara Zarr’s theater geeks story.

The only one that really bothered me was the end of Barry Lyga’s The Truth About Dino Girl. I not sure there’s ever a time where taking a photo of a girl in the locker room shower and posting it as a sex ad all over school with her phone number is ever appropriate, and especially not if all she did was be bitchy to you for having a crush on her boyfriend. WTF WTF WTF.
