Hm. I give it three stars because none of the characters were likable, however I finished this book a few weeks ago, and I'm still pondering the character that IS Laura Rider, so I may have to reread this one.

Laura doesn't want to have sex with her husband anymore at the same time her favorite radio personality moves into the area. Through a chance encounter, the Riders make contact with the radio host, and via email (and her husband's sexual appetite), Laura orchestrates a love affair between the two.

Laura comes across as both manipulative, subconsciously evil, and astonishingly dumb. It's a great achievement in such a short book to create a character with so many facets. I just wish the character were more sympathetic so as to like her more.
