I liked this book, but it was not one of those that when I put down, I couldn't wait to get back to. I enjoyed the fact that the main female character was realistic in her fear of being stalked by a serial rapist. Too many times I see a character act as if it's no big deal. I think a character can be strong and still get freaked out by something like this. It's good to see that portrayed.

The romance was a little strange, and I think, forced. Vincent, our hero, was just a little too obsessed with his past, as Ivy, our heroine kept saying throughout the book, once she finally learned what his problem was.

On the other hand, if a man was as hurt as he had been, then his thoughts as portrayed in the book were helpful in making his concerns more realistic.

There was a happy ending though, and that's always usually the way I like them.
