4 heart stopping second chance stars! This one sucked me in right away! Hailey and Ben have an immediate connection at a hockey game that leads to an intense one night stand. Ben has never forgotten her and carries in his wallet a momento of their night together (a note she wrote him) So, when he sees her 9 years later he is shocked that she is so standoffish towards him and shows him anger.

Hailey has a promise to keep and she will do anything to see it come true. So when the one person she never wants to see again comes walking back into her life and asks her out again, she can't help but be distracted by him.

This story is truly about 2nd ( and 3rd chances) it is a quick read, but it tugs at your heart as Ben and Hailey have more than a connection through a one night stand. Both characters make mistakes throughout the story, but you can tell that their is fate on their side to be together. I liked that Hailey was a strong woman and not someone who wanted pity. She wanted to get her way but working hard. Then when Ben said things that were downright hurtful, she stood up for herself and I love that fact that she slugged him! It was like, You go girl!! But Ben wasn't a bad guy, he was misguided and I can't fault him for his reactions to the news because Hailey was wrong also.

Loved the ending!! And would love to read about what happens to them in the next installment from this author even though it focuses on Caleb.
