I love this series. So, yes, I've read book two as well, but I owe a review for this one first :)

Lana is beautiful, but has a little issue, she's hiding, and she blacks out on the new moons. She's spunky, especially after her past of being abandoned at birth. She put herself through college. She's a writer, freelance, so she can write on the run because the black outs started at 18. She had people sent after her when the hospital she went to wanted to stick her in a mental hospital for schizophrenia. These men are scary with tattoos on their wrists, and they want her, to catch her, badly. And she then runs into Adam, who by the way, says he can "smell her from far away". hahahaha either worst pick up line ever, or he's so damn hawt it doesn't matter. But he also tells her what she is and why she's having black outs.

Adam is a horse trainer. He's hawt, and he turns into a wolf on the full moons. And he protected Lana when he didn't even know her. AND he doesn't know why cuz she's a kitty!! No I won't tell you more, other than the fact that wolves and kitties usually don't mix so it's a little but of an issue. And with Adam and his pack mate Gabe protecting her, there's ANOTHER someone, other than those men, after Lana. And with another shifter after Lana and killing Adam's pack mates, things become really complicated.

I love when plots put two enemies together because two of their rebels fell in love :) hehehe Yeah, it's complicated for Adam and Lana, and no I won't tell you their outcome, but it's very well done. AND it makes a point that though this is a fiction novel, we are still dealing with race issues and bigotry issues to this day. And I love when the characters are perfectly written. These two are special, and even the people surrounding them are great, so it makes the book that much more. I really can't wait for more of this series! It's an excellent addition to the shape shifting community!! 5 PAWS!!
