Interesting take on the inevitable happening in a series like this. The fact that a major character is not there for the majority of the story always leaves me a little apprehensive. But, Laurie does a good job of tying in a few loose strands left over from the first book as well as moving forward existing plotlines. .

More importantly, I still want to know if the relationship with Ben will work out. What can I say?? I'm a romantic.

Pick up this series if you're in the mood for a fast, paranormal read. A must if you like books presented in episodic format. I prefer my series like that -- one, small portion at a time.
