Its nice to read south asian literature from a male perspective once in a while.. This was an interesting read especially if you have people in your life that have backgrounds similiar to the ones in this book. (Upper middle class non traditional muslims) The author's writing style takes a bit getting used to. He is very matter of fact, and doesnt really delve into the the emotion of the characters. Everything is implicit. Overall, it was a very engaging read to me because I cam across so many people from this world in my days at college.. I was heavy, not a light hearted read....
