really liked it
bookshelves: baseball, business, audiobook

An enjoyable book, starting with the promise of Bill James and tracking of new measurements in baseball and the story of the first team to follow up on that promise, the A's. The book has plenty of great baseball stories and (I guess you'd call them) business stories, mixed together in a way similar to Freakonomics. I listened to the unabridged audio, read by Scott Brick. This was easily one of the best narrated books I've heard, especially the parts where Billy Beane is trying to put himself in the middle of someone else's player trade. Pretty funny.
