I really don't know what it was about this book but I was absolutely in love with it. Its not a happy story by any means, or maybe it is depending on how you view things. It starts out during WWII and Charles is in the military and they are using Brideshead as a temporary base. It then goes back to his Oxford days and tells is life with Sebastian and the other members of the Flyte family. It is pretty clear that everyone has some serious Catholic guilt.
