What a great surprise to discover there was another novel about Amy Nelson-Barak. Since her return from her summer in Israel, her mother has remarried and moved to the burbs, and Amy lives in Chicago with her father. It’s a great learning experience for them both, as Amy navigates her feelings about non-boyfriend Avi, back in Israel in the Israeli Army and her new place in her mother’s family, both with the move and a new baby on the way. Elkeles makes Amy slightly unlikable again, but her gradual acceptance of her life and all of the wonderful supporting characters make this a really good story.

Tracey I have been meaning to read this one, I enjoyed the first one while on vacation at your suggestion!

Julia And there's a third! A brand new one of the goodies I picked up at the library today.
