really liked it

Boneshaker has one minor drawback: the decidedly non-1880 dialogue between two major characters: Briar and her son, Zeke. Modern psychotherapy is still a long way off, even in this alternate world. (I have no problem making allowances for zombies, electricity, dirigibles, the Civil War raging for 17 years, and other hallmarks of steampunk, but at least make one thing accurate: the language. Believe me, it grounds the rest of the plot.) Other than that, Cherie Priest told a ridiculously entertaining tale. I was up until 3am this morning reading it.

I hope there's more rotters on the way!

Rebecca I can understand the loathing, Chris. Steampunk is getting overdone, and not in that good crispy bacon kind of way.
