This is a futuristic story of a student in the far future examines the life of an historical rebel (a man). She begins her tale standing before a panel of scholars. She discusses an interchange between a man and an android regarding the qualities that make one human. The man is imprisoned awaiting his punishment (speculated to be death). He is visited by an android who compares the worth and value of a human to an android. Dialogue is strained from the beginning but both "individuals" are clever and the conversation turns. What does it mean to be human. This is a thought provoking story filled with philosophical questions while entertaining the reader.
