really liked it
bookshelves: novel
Read in December, 2009

Again, I started reading this with a little touch of dismay - - another book where people are meeting after many years. But I enjoyed the characters very quickly and so that was put aside in no time.

Bridget and Bill are getting married. They were childhood sweethearts but ended up not marrying each other. And to their wedding they're inviting the group of friends who were inseparable at school. We discover, over the course of the weekend, the answers to mysteries alluded to, and we have an intimate look (as Shreve does so well) at love and fidelity.

I enjoyed this.
