it was amazing
bookshelves: suspense-thriller, favourites

** spoiler alert ** Easily my fave Matthew Reilly book. His books are better than any action movies out there. If you are after an adrenaline rush and non-stop action, it does not get better than this. You really should read Ice Station and Area 7 before tackling this one.

I <3 all the major players from the previous books, of course the title character Scarecrow, although my absolute fave has gotta be Mother, and the introduction of the enigmatic Aloysius Knight. The story here brings out the best in them. The action is fast-paced, gripping, edge-of-your-seat the whole way.

I have to point out there was a major (bloody) plot point that was totally unexpected (maybe I am just slow?!) and absolutely devastating. In fact, I am still not over it. And it’s been a couple of years.

Don’t suppose Matthew Reilly will write another series/short story/anything featuring Mother?!
