really liked it
bookshelves: read-teen, printz, audiobooks

I enjoyed listening to this book. I can see why it got the Printz Honor. Some of the writing was very poetic. However, at the end, the message of helping people and being a better person got really heavy. While the last couple of chapters kind of answer the questions that arose throughout the book, it beat in the moral. Overall, a good book; the audiobook is read in an Australian accent, which made the local terms much more natural.

“Sometimes people are beautiful.
Not in looks.
Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.”
