it was amazing
bookshelves: crime

First book in my absolute favorite series. It was a stretch for me at first because it's set in the late 2050s. Futuristic fiction isn't something I normally enjoy. I read this twice in a week's time and decided to give the next one a try (Glory in Death). Totally hooked at that point. I LOVE the characters and mark the new books' release dates in my planner so I can order them as soon as they're available. :) If you like like romance thrown in with your suspense, good character development over a series and a sprinkle of what society may look like in a few decades, give the In Death Series a try. The writing is passionate but not flowery. Very crisp dialog, wonderful details in character's mannerisms, settings, etc. There is a lot of depth here, and it's pretty believable.
