it was amazing
bookshelves: easy-to-read

PreK-2nd Grade
In this Dr. Seuss classic the rhythmic cadence of the dialogue between Sam I Am and whatever he is trying to convince that green eggs and ham are delicious is compelling. Early readers benefit from the repetitive words, the large font, and the cartoonish illustrations to help energize multiple readings of this story. Reading this to a child or a group of kids can be challenging to the adult reader. The story has such a greater effect if the cadence to the speech pattern is maintained and highlighted. I have probably read this story to my daughter fifty times, but each time it is interesting to me, as I challenge myself to make it an exciting read.
Consumer Economics- This story can be used to teach children about how sales techniques or advertising is meant to influence the purchases that they want to make. Also it is always good support for parents out there attempting to get their children to try new things, “you do not know if you like it if you do not try it”.
