I thought the premise to this book was brilliant. Simon has magical powers--but they're not magical at all, he's just been given the power to manipulate laws of physics. He can change gravity and friction to get away from the villian. So it's not only a fun book for kids, it makes them think about physics too. It's like sneaking your kids vegtables.

I also loved the quirky narrator. There were lots of lines that made me smile or laugh. I'll read more from this author.
