I will continue to read LKH stuff, but she really needs a strong editor who will make her tighten up her prose. sometimes a writer gets too big for their britches. Just be we all buy it or read it doesn't mean it's perfect and the repetitive dialogue is driving me nuts. Also, getting us to make and emotional commitment with the charactars, and then just leaving us hanging on that front with an epilogue which just wraps up the particulars. I think that is rude to me as a reader and it should stop! It says something about the author that she can't follow through to the logical next step of these relationships and emotional entaglements and put it on paper. Really, it'd only take a few more chapters. It undermines the belief in the worldview and the character- what about the growth that was evident in the majority of the book?We need that payoff! Yet, I will still read the next book.
