it was amazing
bookshelves: classic-literature, favorites, pulitzer-prize

One of the best books I have ever read or will ever read. These pages are a dizzying account of slavery, but it is really a book about how to beat back, rock to sleep, and ultimately heal a memory of hurt. I've read it a half dozen times, and Morrison's masterpiece never loses its power to inspire wonder or its ability to make us wonderfully uncomfortable. It will get under your skin and stay there for the rest of your life.

indeed, it will get under your skin, and it is quite dizzying.
