I have mixed feelings about this book. My sister read it and told me parts from it and it sounded like a "must read". Since I have been reading, however, I can't say I enjoy it the same way that I thought I would. I keep wondering how much of it is truth and how much is fiction? The author's prologue definitely didn't clear that up for me. Did she really go to Australia? I don't know. I hate to say this, but I found the whole idea and story more intriguing BEFORE I looked at the author's photo. Now that I see what she looks like, I just can't imagine her as the woman writing the account! Her photo is too in-congruent with my stereotype of the type of woman who would experience this kind of a life. And with my current attitude, I read the "far fetched" events in the book and find myself rolling my eyes and thinking, "Oh Pleeeeeaaaaasssseeeee." I hate to admit that I'm being shallow or judgmental, but there it is. I recommend reading the book since it's very interesting and causes you to consider a totally different perspective on everything that is 'Life as You Presently See It." Just don't look at the author's picture before you finish the book! ;P
