This is a very interesting retelling of "Alice in Wonderland." Don't expect cute little rabbits, but interesting characters like Hatter Madigan (very cool), General Doppelganger, and Bibwit Harte. Also, Alyss is a strong female protagonist. She is brave and at times a warrior, but caring and kind. Her Aunt Redd is evil, personafied. What is great about this book is that it takes place in two worlds: Our world and Wonderland. Wonderland is incredibile complex, where the imagination is the greatest gift and strongest weapon you can have.

This book is the first in a fast-paced series. You can't wait to find out what will happen next.
