really liked it

** spoiler alert ** Mal Peet writes about soccer in a way that makes me curious about soccer. It is a religion, like baseball, but more emotional and intense - more Santeria than Nordic gods, perhaps. This is the third soccer-infused book I've read by him and I was not disappointed. The book is more than soccer, of course. Its also a retelling of Othello, only add the tabloids and other media to the story. And then it was about the idea of team work - what it is, is not, how its possible to play against your team without anyone knowing. Lots of ideas, twists and turns. Very enjoyable
