Another great book by Michael Pollan. A similar format to the Omnivore's Dilemma and In Defense of Food (two other Pollan books I've read in the past year) - a complex subject broken into simple sections using personal musings alongside rigorous journalism to enlighten the reader without sounding preachy or persuasive. From Greek gods to genetically modified potatoes, Pollan is so good at weaving threads of science, nature, history, and humor it's beyond mind blowing - it's understandable!
