I read most of this in one evening and then finished up the last 50 pages with morning coffee. This book is compulsively readable, rather like the Internet, which isn't too surprising. The author obviously loves her people very dearly, which also makes it very readable. I enjoyed the first half of the book, focusing more on her parents and family, much more than the second, focusing on her fairy tale romance that led to her marriage.

I only scanned the recipes in my reading, but there are a couple I want to try before I return the book, namely the tuna-egg souffle cup things. Rob is terrified.

Audrey Mcclune I love her monthly articles/recipes in Bon Appetit. I'll have to read her book.
