The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks

I have loved Lockhart’s previous books, and this one is no exception. While it does start out slow, it is an extremely fun, quick read especially once the mystery of the secret society starts up. Frankie is such a wonderful character to read about, and I really loved how Lockhart wrote the story with the third person narrator. Sometimes it can feel detached, but it really didn’t with this story, and seemed to really get into the mind of Frankie. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Lockhart story without the humor, and there’s plenty of that here with tons of laugh-out-loud moments. And I honestly have to agree with a lot of other pre-release reviews of this book, naming it as one of the best books of 2008 (so far) because it really is. Definitely a book worth checking out.
