really liked it

I originally tried to read this book back in May 2008 when it came out and I just wasn't that into it. I got to about page 30 and just couldn't go any further. When I saw the audio book at my library, I decided to get it and see if I'd like it more in this format over the book; plus, Catherine was the one reading it and I like hearing authors read their own books for the audio version (especially Louise Rennison with her Georgia Nicolson series- absolutely hilarious!). I don't know what it was, but the book was much more captivating in the audiobook format for me, at least, and I loved it. It's not your typical fairy tale, though it did have some of the usual bits thrown in throughout the novel, and I loved Ben's passion and bravery. Murdoch did a great job of telling the story and I enjoyed the voices she did for her characters.
