really liked it
bookshelves: essays, nonfiction, read-in-2009, books-about-books

This is a short little book of essays about books, the love of reading, and the author's stories from her life growing up in a family where literature was sacred. I really enjoyed it, since as I've said before - I love books about books! But I also picked it up because I loved the author's previous book called The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down. I read that one in grad school and loved it! (about a Hmong child with a health problem and the culture clash between the American doctors and the Hmong community). If you don't love reading about reading like I do, you can check out her other book!
