it was amazing
bookshelves: work-related, dv-sv-stalker-pervert

This author gave an excellent portrayal of a marriage hidden with domestic violence. I have read other books sleeping with enemy and black and blue come to mind. Those also great books but I thought this book showed the manipulation, shame, sabotage and reasons women stay- the kids! Of course this book doesn't end as many real life domestic violent relationships do- for many the custody battles never end and use kids as way to get at the women. This book does show how custody and kids play such a factor in abusive relationships. I also really liked the Aesop's fable brought into the story. A very realistic account to whet many women go through and if they could would do what this women did-run!
