Grace Tjan The film is better?

eve The film is longer and more detailed. It's a very good adaptation. I love the movie very much and interested to read how they adapted the short story to screen. The ending is a bit different tough. In the book, Mr. Yee was just a heartless basterd (I'm being mild here) where in the movie, Mr. Yee also portrayed to be a heartless bastard but in the last scene where he was in Chai-Chih's room, he gave the audience a glimpse of sadness and lost. I'm truly looking forward to read another books by Eileen Chang.

Grace Tjan This looks interesting :

I think I might have seen Love in a Fallen City with Chow Yun Fat a long time ago, but can remember only very little of it.

Tony Leung is just fantastic as Mr. Yee.
