did not like it
bookshelves: books-read

There are things I think I would like about any Dan Brown book, since they're all the same, like the scene where Langdon is teaching class imparting all kinds of neat-o information about whatever the book's subject is about.

However, this is another Dan Brown book that reads like every other one I've read (complete with sexually confused, yet physically imposing whack job). If this is the first one you try, you might think it's awesome, but I got bored with this one pretty quickly. Sure, the opening stuff ropes you in, like every other Dan Brown book does as you're trying to figure out what's going on, but then when you get into the meat of the book? Snore-fest.

I got 3/4ths of the way into this, but couldn't finish it.

ayrdaomei Another review I read in a mainstream magazine or newspaper also suggested that Brown misstepped with this one. Something must have been missing - I mean, we've joked about how A&D and DC were essentially the same book, but we both managed to finish both of those books. I haven't even given this one a try, based on the decidedly unenthusiastic reception it's gotten.
