really liked it

Yikes, I kept moaning as I read the story. I couldn't have survived the trip to the United States.

Devil's Lake is about 1 hour west of Grand Forks. We drove through the town and a few of the neighboring towns. Many have buildings that were definitely built around the turn of the century and it is obvious their populations are less than at that time. Anyone who settled in North Dakota and survived had to be strong!

Jeanne Did I tell you that my great-grandfather Wenzel was supposed to immigrate to North Dakota?? I am so thankful he didn't. Well, in my time it would have been fine, but I know I am a wimp and would not have lasted long. It is an amazing story.
