A Christmas ritual read for me. The star of the collection is definitely "Santaland Diaries", Sedaris's recollection of getting a job as an elf at Macy's Santaland -- it's the longest tale and the one that made me laugh hardest, and merits 5 stars all on its own. The other stories are mostly 4s (I like the Christmas Letter best, which I think you can find online as read by Julia Sweeney?), and the last story I'd say is the only one that flopped with me.

But how can you not love a story that includes this quote?

"Snowball just leads elves on, elves and Santas. He is playing a dangerous game."

You can't. Go read.
