Mistborn Trilogy: The Hero Of Ages, The Well Of Ascension And The Final Empire

By the end of this series, I have a great amount of respect for the level of thought and detail the author put into these books. The last half of the final book had so many surprises and reveals that I really enjoyed. I will admit that these books are a long read. The Hero of Ages alone has 724 pages, and you feel every single on of them. At times I felt that there was too much repetition and explanation, but by the same token, you understood everything about how this world worked. This is one of those very few occasions where I think I'd actually prefer to see this story. There are so many levels, so much going on in the plots. Especially in the second book, as one chapter left off following the events of one character or group, and picked up with other characters, I found myself thinking, "Oh, that's right, that is going on, too!" There are so many sub plots rolling around. Yet they all come together for a satisfying ending. If you begin this series, don't leave off until you've reached the end. You will be glad you did!
