People may mistake this book for a lighthearted fantasy, by merely judging the book by the cover. However, once you get into the book, you realize that its much much more than that. The book follows Cadence Brogan, who starts writing to a PO Box number she learns that her dad has been writing to. She learns that her dad has a mental illness, and she tries coping with her dad being in a hospital by writing to this person.
Even with this serious overtone, its written in a way that doesn't get murky or sad. Excellent book! I can't wait until the author writes more!
