So I fought reading this for a long time. No good reason. I just didn't want to. Once I finally buckled down and cracked the cover, it was an interesting read. It turns out that you have to be good at what you want to do and you have to put the time and effort into it in order to excel. But talent and persistence aren't enough. You have to be lucky. Who knew?

Kasia Truisms, huh? That's why I too have been avoiding thus far.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) It really is rather interesting. The stories of how famous people got where they are are very interesting. I liked it, it just wasn't the life changing experience the person who gave it to me insisted it was.

I'll say read it. You'll probably like it even if it is full of truisms.
