liked it
bookshelves: western-mystery

Normally, I really enjoy a Walt Longmire mystery. But Johnson burdens this book with some very serious topics--prejudices, human trafficking, war-time morality--but he doesn't really delve into them. He just flings them in Walt's face, lets Walt struggle with them superficially, and moves on.

I really liked Virgil White Buffalo and I hope he'll appear again in a later book.
