This book is a realistic ficiton story about a boy who had troubled parents, and was sent to live with his cousin Harris and his family on a farm. It shows how he struggles to learn the new lifestyle, but he has a lot of fun on the way. Also, it shows how he comes to love his new family. The main characer and Harris do things like milking cows, catching mice, and fighting pigs. These things add up to a great summer of fun, and he never wants to leave.
I rated this book with four stars because i enoyed reading about the crazy things Harris and his cousin encountered. It was a prtty easy read, but it was still very entertaining and detailed. What I especially liked about this story was how clueless the main character was when he arrived, and how he addapted to his new lifestyle in fun and wild ways. Also, all though it was a fun story, it also had a serious side too. It showed how a young by grows up and how he realizes what's really imporant.
I reccomend this book to someone who would like a fun and interesing story.

Mr. Kasicki Thanks, Ryan. I could have used a few more details in your description. What crazy things did they encounter? What did he find out was important?
