it was amazing

This is a darkly funny, gritty book which my more conservative friends will be horrified by (specifically the 2/3 page sexual situation somewhere after the half-way point), but I love it. Interesting world where vampires are real (and kind of taking over) fought stealthily by those with other Other blood (weres, friendly demons, magic-handlers, etc.) In comes Sunshine, the baker-extraordinaire of her stepfather's diner, who finds that her long-lost father's blood is the only way to get her out of a life-or-death situation, but also causes more complications than she imagined. Creative characters and unanswered questions leave me still hoping there will be a sequel to this not-your-average vampire book.
