liked it
bookshelves: 2009-books-i-read
Read in December, 2009

I am probably being generous with 3 stars, but mainly as a whole I liked the series. But in the end, it took me forever to get through this last of the 3 Irish Trilogy Books I'm sad to say. I had to force myself to finish it. Having read the first two, I felt I owed it to myself to finish the series, but it was a struggle.

The dialogue seemed so unnatural it was hard to read and concentrate. By the 3rd book, hello, I get that we're in Ireland and the Irish talk different than Americans, but everything sounded/or read so rehearsed I felt like gagging.

The 4 that were main characters in the first 2 books (Aiden, Jude, Shawn, & Brenna)I really liked in their stories, but then in the 3rd, as supporting characters they totally fizzeled and were mainly just bistanders I thought. Even Darcy, who was the main in this one and supporting in the first two, I liked better in those than in this one.

The last book did tie up the 3 Gallaghers pretty well, and felt satisfied with the overall stories in the end. But will have to say "Mehh" on this one.

Corie It's a bit older of her books, 2002 I think? They're good, and I know that you like her stuff. They're very romantic, and have a hint of parnormal to them. Heart of the Sea is the last in the series. I need to finish it soon though, it is due back at the library in 1 week.

I recently picked up another of hers that was on sale at Target, Bed of Roses, it looked good. But I realized after I bought it that it was a Book #2, so can't decide if I should read it and skip #1 or not....

Another set of hers you might like are the Key Trilogy Series. Key of Valor, Key of Light, Key of Knowledge. I read these this summer.
