i'd send it out to you but the pages in my edition are all stuck together.

D. Pow Bram, are you trying to wash Brian's balls with this book pick?

Bram Wash or at least gently caress, yes. I just saw your wall discussion about Morrissey in Ventura, so adding this book was the only thing that could make a poor East Coast Moz-lover cheer up.

D. Pow I've read it too and more Smith books than I can care to name and every NME article about them back in the day. I still love the Gladiola man and the pint-sized axe slinger gobs.

Bram Whoa, that's awesome. I've read a collection of his early interviews, which is pretty great (probably some of the same NME ones). I'm a big fan of these glasses (also, an underrated song):

My Moz fixation is probably enough to give my wife pause re: my sexuality until the end of days.

brian that link doesn't work!
what song?

Bram I could just kiss him at 0:26.

brian bram - i've always been convinced that song is his ode to jean genet.
these lyrics:

Along this way
Outside the prison gates
I love the romance of Crime
And I wonder :
Does anybody feel the same way I do ?
And is Evil just something you are
Or something you do ?

pure genet, huh?

my friend who still works at the bookstore called last week to tell me morrissey was in there, but i was across town. knew i wouldn't make it there before he hopped into his sky-blue jag and tore outta there. bastard!

brian that's the best band he's had as a solo performer.
and he looks cooler than god.
in love.

Bram I'd feel bad for you if I didn't know you'd already met the man. Still crazy though.

I've always loved that lyric. I'm a tad embarrassed to admit it, but I've never read any Genet, so I'll take your word for it. But now my interest is really piqued.

The romance of crime...also a theme of The Last of the Famous International Playboys.

I never wanted to kill
I am not naturally evil
Such things I do
Just to make myself
More attractive to you
Have I failed ?

Bram Good to know; will pick that up asap.

I fucking love Viva Hate/Bona Drag era.

These videos got me thinking that there is a devastating paucity of high quality Smiths/Moz live video out there. Need more DVDs.

brian he's still got it.
if this doesn't move you, you're already dead.
