This isn't my favorite Irving, but it's still funny and good. I think this may be an earlier work. It didn't wrap up and connect all of the characters the way I thought it would. In fact, there were some characters that seemed very important in the beginning that he seemed to abandon by the middle and totally forget about at the end. Its still vintage Irving so I liked it.

Mindy Agreed. I felt like there were a lot of kinks in the story that still had to be worked out. A good edit would have helped it out, but still -- Irving is Irving, and a good read.
