really liked it
bookshelves: time-travel, romance, not-ya, historical, scottish

In case you didn't know, this is a LONG book. So long, my library loan actually expired the first time I tried to read it back in 2013!

Fast forward to 2015, I was working a job in a print lab and allowed to listen to music. I opted to get the audiobook of Outlander from Overdrive through the library and listened. I listened for a good week or two. (I did take breaks to listen to other stuff during that time.)

I enjoyed the story, it was very detailed and at times dragged, but the information was very interesting to me. I liked Jamie a lot, I didn't mind Claire, I hated Randall and Claire's 20th century husband, and I loved the drama.

I actually did move onto the next book shortly after because I HAD to know what happens next. But that one didn't hold my attention and Jamie became.... less charming. I gave up. I'll just have to watch season 2 of the TV series instead.

Ultimately though, I'm glad I read Outlander and would recommend it to others.

Caroline Ugh. Didn't finish due to NaNoWriMo. Library loan expired. Will try to get it again maybe in the summer.
