Can I just say how much I LOVE the cover??? It's so beautiful!!!!!! Sorry for that improper use of exclamation and question marks, sometimes I don't know how to express my strong emotions :D

This book took me back to the werewolf days of twilight. Don't worry, this isn't ANYTHING like twilight except for the concept that when the werewolves shift, they keep their human intelligence and when they're human, the wolf is always there, just like in Twilight. I recently read Shiver and that was a whole other concept entirely so it's nice to see that there are different opinions out there to keep things interesting.

Secondly, I just love Jen. She has spunk and attitude and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind (even if it's totally not appropriate for the situation). She has a way of lightening the mood of serious discussions and when she shut up, you knew it was important. However, sometimes she didn't shut up when I thought it was important which kind of undermined the importance of the discussion and such. Sally was the quiet one in the friendship. The one that keeps things under control (hot chocolate anyone??).

I also really love the name Jacque - so pretty!

So I rated this book 4 stars for 2 reasons. First, it just seemed kind of stiff which meant I never could become fully invested. Me and the book clicked but I was always aware that it's just a story. My favorite books all have that quality where they are so convincing and absorbing and real that I'm suddenly in the book. The dialogue was a little choppy and such which contributed to that. And secondly, everything seemed to go way to fast. I feel like it should have been longer because a lot of stuff was just breezed over and it seemed to just blow by (not in the omg-this-was-an-amazing-book way but the jeez-isn't-there-more way). So overall, an excellent book that could use some editing but still an amazing plot line and characters - 4 stars!
