really liked it

This was a fast and easy read. Interesting story set in the mid-1800s. The trials that people encountered crossing the country were so tough. I can imagine living back then or having to deal with their day to day issues.

I was tempted to skip the chapters about Trenton. He wasn't as interesting to me, and I just wanted to find out what would happen with the rest of the family.

I really disliked the page-turn graphic at the beginning of each chapter. Not a big issue, but it was distracting.
